Introduction
Pop psychology is a design that bases its information on the science of psychology. This idea captures the attention of the general public. Pop psychology gains popularity among the public in general. Pop psychology is also a theory concerning human behavior and mental life. Empirical research is any type of exploring that uses empirical evidence to conclude its research findings. An empirical investigation has evidence; hence it is verifiable. Empirical research uses qualitative and quantitative methods of collecting data.
What is the best tool for managing Anxiety? Is seeking professional help your best choice, or is self-managing tools your best recourse? Anxiety is a feeling that causes an individual to worry and be nervous about something, worry about an event, or uncertainty.
According to the pop psychology research article, Getting Better My Way: Feasibility Study of a Self-Management Support Tool for People with Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Self-management support (SMS) is an essential component of the Chronic Care Model, but has only recently received attention in the mental health field. SMS is not a treatment but an adjunct to treatment that aims to give people more power over the illness and an active role in maintaining good mental health and preventing new episodes (Houle et al., 2019). Getting better my way focuses on any person living with challenges related to anxiety, depression, or bipolar disorders.
According to the empirical research article on three management anxiety, Anxiety management is by a Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP). This program has been developed based on consumer experience and is co-delivered by peers and professionals. WRAP is an intensive 8-week program that is highly structured, which could be easily implemented in specific care settings and still provide positive outcomes (Rosenberg, 2020). Although there were numerous studies done, the main objective of the tasks was to evaluate the acceptability to see if the new tools were considered a suitable and satisfying tool in managing anxiety.
The information in both articles is significant in assisting individuals in solving psychological problems of dealing with anxiety (Buller, 2009). However, it is difficult for the public to distinguish between a pop psychology article that uses facts and a pop psychological article that uses creativity. Pop psychology articles are popular, and the populace believes in them because they support their information using previous knowledge and discoveries.
Empirical research articles, on the other hand, gain credibility because they draw conclusions based on the evidence of the research. Empirical research aims at using facts and providing evidence of the research findings. A pop psychology article on getting better my way states that SMS is not a treatment but a way to improve psychological health and prevent new episodes. The article does not report on a successful consumer experience. It does not note the percentage of power over the illness that an individual is likely to acquire. It also does not give evidence of preventing new episodes and to what percentage.
Practical research article about the excellent recovery action plan, reports about knowledge based on the consumer’s experience. Empirical research articles report information that has been proved based on research evidence. For instance, WRAP is a highly structured eight intensive week program. It also gives evidence that the results are similar despite the setting. Pop psychology articles do not rely on research that requires facts and evidence; hence it is impossible to guarantee that SMS truly works and an individual is not guaranteed good mental health.
The main goal of the practical research article is to write new information; hence it adds knowledge to earlier discoveries, for instance, WRAP reports on research findings that guarantee positive results. The primary purpose of a pop psychology article is to make money. In conclusion, Pop’s psychology article attempts to explain human thoughts discovered by other scientific authors, while empirical research reports new findings.

1: Men and women play many roles throughout this collection of short stories, but one unifying theme seems to be the toxicity of masculinity and the plight of the female in general (and of the Latina female specifically) within American culture. Look at the ways in which Díaz portrays men, manhood, manliness and masculinity, especially in relation to romantic entanglements. How do characters’ ideas about what it means to be a man affect the way they treat women? What does Díaz seem to be telling us about masculinity in America, or masculinity within Latino culture, or both? Try researching the Domincan Republic and masculinity within the Latino world (machismo).
2: Think about the ways Díaz uses language: what does he accomplish through mixing Spanish and English? What kind of “register” do the narrators speak with? In what ways do formal and informal speech work together to build the themes explored in this work? What does it mean to be reading a book within the realm of American literature, but which utilizes supposedly foreign languages, references to pop culture and science fiction, and colloquial speech as driving stylistic forces? Why does Díaz do this? You might look into the history of Chicano literature for more information on mixing languages.
